Accordingly, we are committed to protecting any personal information about you that we hold. This privacy policy details how we generally manage your personal information and safeguard your privacy.

At the outset we wish to make clear that protecting confidential information is fundamental to our relationship with our clients and to our business.

The National Privacy Principles

From 21 December 2002, most private sector organisations in Australia, including certain small businesses, must by law comply with the National Privacy Principles subject to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (NPPs). We are bound by the NPPs, and this policy accords with the NPPs.

What information do we collect?

From our Website

Unless you choose to give us information about yourself, we do not collect any personal identifiable information from the visitors to our Website. When you visit this Website or download information from it, our Internet Service Provider (ISP) makes a record of your visit that shows:

• the Domain Name Server part of your e-mail address, eg "hotmail.com" from an e-mail address of msmith@hotmail.com;
• the pages of our Website you visited;
• the date and time that you visited our site; and
• the kind of browser of that you used.

Your identity cannot reasonably be ascertained from this information, and we only use the information to prepare general statistics on the usage of our Website. We do not use cookies on our Website.

From our clients

We only collect personal information that is necessary for us to perform our functions.

Any personal information which we collect about you will be used and disclosed by us so that we can provide you with the services that you have requested, or otherwise to enable us to carry out our functions as real estate agents.

You have the right to request access to and correction of the personal information we hold about you. We will handle requests for access to your personal information in accordance with the NPPs. We will deal with all requests for access to personal information as quickly as possible. In some cases, consistent with the NPPs, we may refuse to give you access to personal information we hold about you. This includes circumstances where giving you access:

• would have an unreasonable impact on other people’s privacy;

If we refuse to give you access we will provide you with reasons for our refusal.

Generally, if you request us to do so we will amend any personal information we hold about you which is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.

Security of the information

We use a number of mechanisms to protect the security and integrity of your personal information. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed as completely secure. This means that we cannot guarantee that someone else will not read the information you choose to give us when you transmit it. Therefore, any information you send to us over the Internet is done so at your own risk.
